The Founder

Khondlo was founded by Thami Mazibuko who has 15 years of experience in short-term insurance. He started his career in short-term insurance in 1996 working for a company called First Bowring Insurance Brokers (Pty) Ltd where he worked for three years servicing commercial clients and also handled personal portfolios of company executives. Then he moved to First Central Insurance Company (PTY) Ltd, where he worked as a Claims Technician, handling commercial and personal claims for about 1 year. He then seized an opportunity in Alexander Forbes Risk Services (PTY) Ltd where he served as a Technical Executive in the corporate department handling underwriting and claims portfolios for corporate accounts for about 4 years. Mazibuko is also qualified in short-term insurance.

  

Staff

Khondlo employs highly qualified and experienced staff, and is currently headed by Thami Mazibuko himself. We have also identified young individuals that are currently trained in short-term insurance.

Our broad experience in working with entrepreneurs as well as mega corporates enables us to practically bridge the commercial gap for marginalised potentials. This of course includes strategies for consciousness of insurance needs especially for SMMEs. Many of these groups would otherwise take insurance only due to pressure from the banks, therefore fail to remain committed to the insurance engagement to their own detriment.
